Always seeking to fill the void of loneliness and isolation experienced by teenage cancer patients, the Carson Leslie Foundation hosted 3 annual SHINDIGS on the oncology floor of Children’s Health Dallas. and distributed many backpacks filled with items to make hospital stays more comfortable through their Carson’s Corner encouragement program. Working with local groups like Medix, a healthcare workforce solutions company and Bahama Bucks snow cones, young cancer patients filled their afternoons with fun and smiles.
