The GOLDEN TOAST is an annual celebration of the legislative victories achieved through the Congressional Childhood Cancer Caucus (CCCC). What began as a meeting in the living room of Congressman Michael McCaul has morphed into a sophisticated, unstoppable movement of advocates dedicated to changing the state of childhood cancer in America.
This event honors the “men and women in the arena” who fight for the smallest and most innocent patients among us. Through this pure bipartisan collaboration, we have successfully championed life- changing laws, including:
• The STAR Act: The most comprehensive childhood cancer bill in history, elevating research and survivorship at the NIH.
• The RACE for Children Act: Requiring the most innovative adult cancer treatments to be studied for pediatric use.
Hosted in Washington, D.C., the GOLDEN TOAST serves as a reminder that when we unify for a worthy cause, we achieve the triumph of high achievement. We gather to toast the progress made and the work still to be done until every child has a chance at a cure.
