George, not associated with CPRIT (yet) but I couldn’t resist— CPRIT has swagger and the backs of children fighting cancer— In addition to the Carson Leslie Awards for Pediatric Brain cancers; a $3.2 million CPRIT+CLF partnership CPRIT just announced RFA’s soon to be released will include individual investigator research awards for cancer in children and adolescents! So to the cruel truth that cancer is the #1 disease killer of American children, Texas say we hear you and we’ve got your back. It continues to be an honor to serve on CPRIT’s childhood cancer advisory council. Senator Nelson and I even got some TV air time at the last oversight meeting!
