The Rim Fire Rifle competition has multiple stages that test shooters’ skills in various shooting positions and distances.
Competition Format:
•Number of Stages: 5 to 10 stages, depending on the number of participants.
•Target Distances: Targets are set up between 50 and 100 yards.
•Target Arrangement: Targets may be set up at the same yardage or at different yardages within each stage.
•Shooting Positions: Different shooting positions, such as prone or off a prop, are required at each stage.
•Shooting Order: There is a specific order in which shooters engage the targets at each stage.
•Time Limits: Some stages may have time limits to finish the stage.
Example Stage:
Stage #1: Targets: 5 targets – 2 @ 50 yards, 2 @ 75 yards, and 1 @ 100 yards.
Shooting Order: Shooters begin from the prone position and engage the targets in the following order: two targets at 50 yards, one at 100 yards, and finally, two targets at 75 yards. This process is repeated twice for a total of 10 shots.
